An armband is a carrying accessory designed to hold a mobile phone during physical activity; it is classified as a piece of fitness equipment. Its primary function is to provide a convenient way to carry electronic devices-such as mobile phones and MP3 players-while engaging in activities like running or working out. Armbands typically feature sweat-resistant and water-resistant designs, allowing users to directly operate the touchscreen and connect headphones through a transparent viewing window on the band once the phone is inserted.

Some models also incorporate reflective strips to enhance safety during night runs, and feature a hidden storage pocket for stowing small items such as keys or loose change. The material used is predominantly lightweight nylon, while the screen area is protected by a plastic film to ensure smooth touch sensitivity.
